Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how NSPlug (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.nsplug.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our [Privacy Policy].

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They help the Site function properly, remember your preferences, and provide information about how the Site is used. We also use similar technologies such as browser session storage, which stores small amounts of data in your browser for the duration of your visit; for simplicity, this policy refers to all of these technologies as “cookies” unless stated otherwise.

Cookies set by us are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by other companies whose services we use (such as Google) are called “third-party cookies.”

How we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as adding a product to your cart, logging in to your account, or completing a purchase.

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
woocommerce_cart_hash NSPlug (WooCommerce) Keeps track of items in your shopping cart Session
woocommerce_items_in_cart NSPlug (WooCommerce) Indicates whether your cart contains items Session
wp_woocommerce_session_* NSPlug (WooCommerce) Maintains your shopping session (cart contents, checkout state) 2 days
wordpress_logged_in_* NSPlug (WordPress) Keeps you logged in to your customer account Session / up to 14 days
wordpress_sec_* NSPlug (WordPress) Secures authentication for logged-in users Session / up to 14 days
wp-settings-* NSPlug (WordPress) Stores interface preferences for logged-in users 1 year
Cookie consent preference NSPlug Remembers your cookie consent choices Up to 12 months

2. Analytics cookies

With your consent where required by law, we use Google Analytics (implemented through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are visited most and how visitors arrive at the Site. This helps us improve our content and services.

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google Distinguishes unique visitors 2 years
_ga_* Google Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4 2 years

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, these cookies are not set until you give consent. Our implementation uses Google Consent Mode, which defaults all analytics and advertising storage to “denied” for visitors in those regions until a choice is made.

You can learn more about how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3. Functional technologies (chatbot)

Our Site includes Lyra, our AI assistant. To keep your conversation available as you browse between pages, the chatbot stores your conversation history and open/closed state in your browser’s session storage. This data:

  • stays in your browser and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab or window;
  • is not a tracking cookie and is not shared with advertising networks;
  • contains only the messages you exchange with the assistant during your visit.

Messages you send to the chatbot are processed on our servers and by our AI service provider in order to generate responses. Please do not share sensitive personal information in chatbot conversations. For details, see our [Privacy Policy].

4. Payment providers

When you make a purchase, our payment processors may set their own cookies during checkout to process the transaction securely and to help prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by the privacy and cookie policies of the respective provider:  PayPal (https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/privacy/cookiePrefs)

What we do not use

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell personal information collected through cookies.

Your choices

Consent banner. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the Site footer.

Browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site — such as the shopping cart, checkout, and customer account — from working.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signals. <!– VERIFY with counsel: state whether you honor GPC signals; California requires honoring GPC for businesses subject to the CCPA/CPRA –>

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised. Significant changes will be communicated by updating this page.
