What does AI Product Photography for Magento 2 do?
It lets Magento administrators enhance or generate product imagery with OpenAI from the catalog workflow. Jobs run asynchronously, and generated results remain separate until an authorized user reviews and approves them.
Will generated images publish automatically?
No. Every generated image enters an awaiting-review queue. An authorized administrator compares it with the source, selects gallery roles, and explicitly approves it before attachment.
Which Magento versions are supported?
The extension requires Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 or later and PHP 8.2 or later. A working Magento cron and queue-consumer supervisor are also required.
Do I need my own OpenAI account?
Yes. You provide an OpenAI API project with billing enabled and access to GPT Image 2 or a later compatible model. API usage is billed separately by OpenAI.
Can my team maintain a consistent visual style?
Yes. Reusable presets can store brand direction and defaults for pose, setting, model attributes, background, and other creative instructions.

Can GPT Image 2 create transparent backgrounds?
Not currently. PNG is supported as a non-transparent output format, but GPT Image 2 does not currently support transparent backgrounds.
What if I do not like a generated result?
Discard it without changing the live gallery, or regenerate it with revised settings and creative direction. The merchant always makes the final publishing decision.
